$2.9M jackpot winner received lottery ticket as a gift
RAYNHAM, Mass. — Season ticket holder Christopher Voelker of Raynham, Massachusetts, is the winner of a $2.97 million jackpot prize within the state lottery’s Megabucks Doubler drawing that happened Saturday, May 26.
Voelker claimed his prize on the Lottery’s Braintree headquarters Monday, July nine, opting for the money choice and receiving a one-time fee of $2,277,443 (much less tax withholdings).
He plans to make use of his winnings to shop for a house.
Voelker received his Megabucks Doubler Season Ticket as a gift.
His ticket was once bought at Plymouth Liquors, 91 Carver Road in Plymouth.
The retailer receives a $29,700 bonus for the sale.
Season tickets are to be had for Megabucks Doubler, Mega Millions, Powerball, Lucky for Life and Mass Cash and may also be bought for 13-week, 26-week and 52-week classes.
Megabucks Doubler drawings happen each and every Wednesday and Saturday night time.
